WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
NEW RIDER COURSE
WHEN YOU TAKE A NEW RIDER COURSE AT THE RIDING ACADEMY:
Learn to ride on a genuine Harley-Davidson® motorcycle. The cost for the entire course is $279.
Get in-class and on-range instruction from Motorcycle Safety Foundation® (MSF) and H-D® Certified Coaches.
Learn to safely accelerate, shift, brake, and turn, along with maneuvers like controlling skids and surmounting obstacles.
Earn an MSF Basic RiderCourseSM Completion Card, which may (varies by state) exempt you from the riding portion of your license exam and score you a discount on motorcycle insurance.
We also offer just the Washington state permit written test for a fee of $35. This has no class participation or is otherwise involved with the Lone Wolf Riding Academy. (With a valid permit you are eligible for test rides!)
We also offer the Washington state and Idaho state DOL riding skills test required for an endorsement for a fee of $50. This has no class participation or is otherwise involved with the Lone Wolf Riding Academy program.
Permits and DOL Skills Test are available daily during dealerships open hours.
WHERE CAN I FIND A COURSE?
Classes Start are every Thursday and Friday 4:45pm-8:00pm. Riding portion of course is Saturday and Sunday 8:00am-1:00pm. Classes book starting February 28th through December (Weather Permitting).
SKILLED RIDER COURSE
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Designed solely for experienced riders, this eight-hour 1- or 2-day course is taught by dedicated Motorcycle Safety Foundation® (MSF) and H-D® Certified Coaches.
You’ll learn advanced tips and techniques to help you own the road.
Control at low speeds
Swerving and stopping quickly on straights and in curves
Multiple curve maneuvers and surmounting objects
When you’re done, you’ll not only ride with more confidence than ever, you’ll earn an MSF Basic RiderCourseSM 2 Completion Card that may qualify you for a discount on motorcycle insurance.
WHAT WILL I NEED TO REGISTER?
You will need a valid drivers license. You can register in person at the dealership or by phone.

DO I NEED ANY SPECIAL GEAR?
The first two evenings are in the classroom, no special gear needed. For the range portion on Saturday and Sunday, you will need the following gear.
A: DOT approved helmet
B: Eye protection. ie: Sunglasses/and or helmet equipped with a visor.
C: Long sturdy pants
D: Long sleeve shirt or jacket
E: Full fingered gloves
F: Sturdy over the ankle boots
